What Acorn Is Used For in Tears of the Kingdom
Acorn is a Material in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). Specifically, it is classified as a Ingredient.
The Acorn was included in the Breath of the Wild version of the game. Most of its attributes are the same and therefore you may find similar uses as BotW.
It can be used to upgrade certain types armor when provided with other materials at the fairy fountain.
If you simply eat the Acorn by itself without cooking, you will gain 0.25 hearts. If you cook it first, it will restore 1 hearts.
The first Acorn you add to a meal when cooking adds 50 Seconds to the effect that the meal gives. If you add more than 1 Acorn to a meal, the remainder will only add 30 Seconds each to the duration of the effect.
The Acorn can be turned in to trade for Brown dye in order to dye clothes. We have not yet confirmed if this is still the case in Tears of the Kingdom.
