What Summerwing Butterfly Is Used For in Tears of the Kingdom
Summerwing Butterfly is a Material in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). Specifically, it is classified as a Critter.
The Summerwing Butterfly was included in the Breath of the Wild version of the game. Most of its attributes are the same and therefore you may find similar uses as BotW.
Since the Summerwing Butterfly is a critter, it cannot be fused to weapons or arrows in any way. It is useful mainly for elixirs. Any recipes it is used in will be included at the end of this page. It is mainly used in cooking, and it can be used to give the meal a Spicy effect when used in the recipe.
When you add any Summerwing Butterfly to a meal when cooking, the resulting meal’s bonus effect will last 2 minutes, 30 seconds longer.
The Summerwing Butterfly can be turned in to trade for Red dye in order to dye clothes. We have not yet confirmed if this is still the case in Tears of the Kingdom.
